Mobile App Privacy Policy
Applies to the My Tool Tracking Shop Floor mobile app on Android and iOS.

1. Scope
This policy describes how the Shop Floor mobile app collects, uses, and protects data when used with the My Tool Tracking platform. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.
2. Permissions We Use
Camera
The app requests camera access to scan barcodes and QR codes for receiving, stock transfers, part lookup, and kanban workflows.
- We do not use camera access for advertising or unrelated tracking.
- We do not intentionally store raw camera video from scanning sessions.
3. Data We Process in the Mobile App
- Device registration and session tokens required for authentication.
- User identity details returned by the service (for example, name and tenant context).
- Scanned barcode/QR values and inventory transaction inputs needed to fulfill app actions.
- Operational diagnostics and error information needed to maintain reliability and security.
4. How We Use Data
- Authenticate users and devices.
- Process inventory operations requested by authorized users.
- Maintain service security and prevent misuse.
- Troubleshoot issues and improve app performance.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with infrastructure and service providers only as needed to operate and secure the service, and in response to legal obligations.
6. Retention and Deletion
Mobile authentication/session data is retained only as long as needed to support account access and security.
Tenant administrators may remove device access, and users or organizations may request account/data deletion through our support contact.
7. Security
- Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS.
- Sensitive session data is stored using secure mobile storage mechanisms.
- Access is limited to authenticated, authorized users and devices.
